1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Passion JEE (“Passion JEE”, “we”, “us”) about your use of https://passionjee.in and everything we offer through it: articles and other content, newsletters, reader accounts, subscriptions and contributions (together, the “Services”).

By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Who can use what. Anyone can read our free content. To register, subscribe or contribute, you must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must do this for you and is responsible for it.

2. What we offer

Passion JEE publishes educational content for students preparing for JEE (Main and Advanced) and related exams. Some content is free. Some is available only to registered readers or paid subscribers (“Premium Content”).

We may add, change or remove content and features at any time. Changes that affect a paid plan are covered in section 5.

3. Educational content: no guarantees, no affiliation

  • Our content is for information and guidance. It reflects research, experience and opinion, and it is not a substitute for official sources.
  • Exam dates, eligibility, syllabus, fees, counselling rules and cut-offs are set by official bodies and change often. Always confirm them in the official notification before acting.
  • We do not guarantee any marks, rank, admission or other outcome. Results depend on your own effort and circumstances.
  • We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Testing Agency, the IITs, JoSAA or any coaching institute, board or university, unless we say so. Their names are used only to identify exams and institutions.

4. Reader accounts

You register and sign in through your Google Account using Reader Revenue Manager. You agree to:

  • give accurate information and keep your Google Account secure;
  • use one account per person and not share your login or paid access with anyone;
  • tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without your permission.

You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend an account that breaches these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and contributions

5.1 How payments work. Payments for subscriptions and contributions are processed through Google’s Reader Revenue Manager and Google Payments, not by us directly. We never see your card, UPI or bank details. Google’s terms and privacy policy apply to that processing.

5.2 Plans and prices. Plans, prices, billing periods and features are shown at checkout, in Indian Rupees (₹), inclusive of applicable taxes including GST. The details shown when you subscribe form part of these Terms.

5.3 Billing and renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then shown, until you cancel. Renewals follow the rules that apply to recurring payments in India, including any advance notice or approval required by your bank or payment provider.

5.4 Price changes. We may change prices or plans for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change takes effect for you, and you can cancel before then.

5.5 Cancelling. You can cancel at any time through the payments and subscriptions section of your Google Account, or by emailing support@passionjee.in. Cancelling stops future charges. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

5.6 Refunds.

  • New subscriptions: full refund if you ask within 7 days of your first purchase.
  • Renewals: refund if you ask within 48 hours of a renewal charge.
  • Duplicate or mistaken charges: always refunded.
  • Contributions: voluntary and non-refundable, except duplicate or mistaken payments.

To ask for a refund, email support@passionjee.in from the address you used to subscribe and include your order ID. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days. Nothing in this section limits your rights under consumer protection law.

5.7 Contributions. A contribution is a voluntary payment to support our work. It is not a purchase, and it does not give you any goods, services, ownership or benefit unless we say so at the time. Contributions are not donations to a charity and are not eligible for any tax deduction or exemption.

5.8 Failed or disputed payments. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause your Premium Content access until it is resolved. If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first so we can fix it quickly.

6. Using our content

We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to read our content and, where a download or print option is provided, to keep a copy for your own study. You must not:

  • copy, republish, resell or distribute our content, especially Premium Content, including in Telegram or WhatsApp groups, social media, file-sharing sites or coaching material;
  • share your login or paid access with others, or bypass paywalls or other technical protections;
  • scrape, crawl or use bots on the Website, or use our content for text and data mining or to train AI or machine-learning models;
  • remove copyright or ownership notices.

Short quotations with clear credit and a link back to the original page are welcome.

7. Intellectual property

The Website and its content, including text, graphics, logos and design, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Names and marks of third parties belong to their owners. If you believe something on the Website infringes your copyright, email support@passionjee.in with the page link, what is infringed and your contact details, and we will review it promptly.

8. Your conduct and comments

When you use the Services, including when you post comments or messages, you must not:

  • post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or misleading;
  • post other people’s personal or confidential information;
  • impersonate anyone, or post spam, ads or links unrelated to the discussion;
  • interfere with the Website’s operation or security.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store and moderate it on the Website. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these Terms.

9. Third-party services and links

We rely on third parties such as Google for sign-in, payments and other features, and the Website may link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms and policies apply.

10. Availability

We work to keep the Services running, but we cannot promise they will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend them for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the Services and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted access.

12. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or profits, or for any exam result or admission outcome. Our total liability to you for any claim about the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Suspension and ending access

You can stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, misuse the Services, or where the law requires it. If we end a paid subscription without a breach on your part, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or a notice on the Website. Changes to price or features of a paid plan apply from your next billing period, and you may cancel before then. If you keep using the Services after an update, you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a concern, please contact us first (see section 17) and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If it cannot be resolved, the courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand have jurisdiction, subject to your right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach a Consumer Commission where the law allows.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month, and sooner for complaints about unlawful content posted by users.

18. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. Notices to you may be sent to the email linked to your account.
